Education system

Generally, most Canadian schools continue up to Grade 12. Once students complete the 12 years of primary and secondary education, they can apply for universities, of which the courses usually run for 4 years. However, for certain provinces, such as Quebec, the typical high school term ends after Grade 11. In order for students’ who wish to continue to university, they must attend college for 2 years. It is commonly known that whilst universities offer degrees (such as, Bachelor’s, Master’s…etc), colleges often provide vocationally-orientated courses (diplomas and certificates).
